Some harmful things we may be doing to our skin.

  • Using makeup wipes. They're such a scam! First things first: they don't clean your skin. Mostly, they smear around whatever makeup, dirt, and dead skin is hanging out on your face, leaving a trail of irritated skin in their wake. Secondly, there's the mechanics of scrubbing your face with makeup wipes, which can also leave you with red, angry skin prone to breakouts. Micellar water is a way better and gentle solution.

  • Using face scrubs way too often. Your face doesn't need to be exfoliated every single day. It’s harmful and it causes excessive dryness, irritation, redness, and sensitivity. Experts suggest that doing a face scrub once or twice a week is the ideal number.

  • Exposure to sun. Over time, it will cause skin issues such as pigmentation, premature lines and wrinkles. In other words, it makes you age faster. You can prevent it by using sunscreen as part of your everyday skincare routine. Not only when you go hitting the beach, but even if you’re just commuting to and from the office. Moreover, don't forget that sun becomes even more dangerous when it reflects on snow rather than sand.

  • Not having a skincare routine. A lot of people think that having a skincare routine is related to having skin problems like acne or wanting to cover some flaws. However, the whole purpose of it is to prevent all the problems that may appear in future due to the normal course of time.

  • Diy face masks and remedies. If you struggle with acne or any other skin damage, don't try TikTok trends or homemade solutions. Consult professionals like dermatologists and get real, effective, healthy solutions for your problem.
